|Shaquille, shown in September 2012 with his children, has joint custody with Shaunie over their kids.
Shaquille O’Neal has successfully blocked his ex-wife’s bid for an emergency order to allow their children on a new reality show, after an LA judge ruled in his favour on Thursday. The 41-year-old Hall of Fame basketball player has joint custody of his four children. He acted after it emerged that his 39-year-old ex-wife Shaunie had signed a deal to star in a new VH1 reality show, which would also feature her children.
Shaunie wanted a judge to rule in her favour on Thursday without a hearing, but Shaquille strongly opposed it.
Shaquille’s lawyer Laura Wasser, who represented Kim Kardashian in her divorce proceedings, convinced the judge there was no rush and a hearing would be fair, according to an article on Thursday in TMZ. Shaunie in court documents said she had a deal for a new VH1 reality show The Shaunie Project about life with her and her children.
She was seeking an emergency order to meet production deadlines since filming was scheduled to start the first week of January. Shaunie married the former star centre for the Los Angeles Lakers in December 2002 and had four children before and during their marriage, Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir, and Me’arah.
Shaunie has reality show experience as an executive producer on Basketball Wives and also has been an on-camera fixture on the show since its premiere in April 2010……Read More
Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III has struggled this season. He completed 11-of-27 passes for 127 yards and threw one interception (no touchdowns) during a 27-6 loss against San Francisco on Monday. Griffin, who had a 58.7 passer rating, was sacked four times and hit on seven occasions.
The second-year quarterback has been ineffective this season, and Washington’s 3-8 record reflects Griffin’s struggles. He has played so poorly, it is now fair to wonder why he has not been benched in favor of Kirk Cousins.
“He’s obviously a man and he makes his own decisions, but I personally don’t feel he should be playing right now,” Brooks told CSNWashington.com.

Brooks based his opinion on the knee injury Griffin sustained in a January playoff loss against Seattle, which required surgery.
“I don’t think he should be playing,” Brooks told CSNWashington.com. “You can see it. Everybody can see it, everybody can see it.”
It might be time for Washington to admit it……
Thousands of passengers have been evacuated after a vehicle crash sparked a gun alert at Los Angeles airport, just weeks after a man opened fire inside the terminal building.
Police said a woman driving on the airport’s arrivals loop fell ill and lost control of her SUV, hitting another woman on a sidewalk.
The vehicle then slammed into a parking garage near Terminal 5, the sounds of which spurred reports of gunfire among the passengers inside the terminal, many of whom fled the building.
Immediately after the crash, police in neighbouring Terminal 4 received an anonymous call reporting a gunman at a specific gate.
The call prompted police to order a complete evacuation of both terminals while they investigated.
However, no gunman was found and the terminals were deemed safe.
Evacuated passengers were allowed to return, but had to be re-screened by security, causing a huge bottleneck of people trying to re-enter the airport.
Chief Patrick Gannon said: “It took us a couple of hours to clear those terminals. It created quite a disturbance here at the airport.”
An estimated 4,600 passengers were affected by the incidents, according to LAX spokeswoman Nancy Castles.
Delta and American Airlines reported a combined total of 60 delayed flights, both inbound and outbound.
Sergeant Mark Guardado, of Los Angeles Police Department, said both women were injured in the crash, the pedestrian seriously.
He said travellers and police already were “on edge” following the November 1 shooting that left one Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officer dead.
Authorities say Paul Ciancia, 23, had a vendetta against the federal government and was targeting TSA officers when he pulled a semi-automatic rifle from a bag and shot Gerardo Hernandez.
Two other TSA employees and an airline passenger were wounded before airport police shot the attacker.
Ciancia, who was released from hospital this week, has been charged with murder.
He could face the death penalty if convicted. Read More
VINTON, La. (AP) — Gerard Melancon won the Delta Downs Jackpot for the second time in three years, guiding Rise Up to a six-length victory Saturday in the $1 million race.
Rise Up, trained by Tom Amoss, ran 1 1/16 miles in a stakes record 1:44.71 and paid $6.20, $4 and $2.80. Casiguapo returned $6 and $4 while Rankhasprivileges paid $4 to show in the field of 10 2-year-olds. The old mark was 1:44.72 set by Big Drama in 2008.
Rise Up won his previous start, the Jean Lafitte Stakes, also by six lengths on Oct. 26 at Delta Downs. The Jackpot was his fifth career start and fourth victory.
“I knew we had a great horse coming out of the 10-hole,” Melancon said. “I think going a mile and a 1/16th, the 10 hole is really a great spot. I had all kinds of options.”
And Whitner says the impending name change is permanent.
“I actually put the paperwork in yesterday afternoon. Just waiting to get the paperwork out,” he told reporters during a Wednesday conference call, via ESPN. “So from here on out until I retire, my name will be Donte Hitner, without the Read More
